Planet of the Apes (1974) Comic

Marvel UK's Planet of the Apes began on 26th October 1974, reprinting of one of Marvel US' licensed titles.<br/>When the editorial ran out of US-originated Planet of the Apes strips to reprint, they partially redrawn and re-lettered as an emergency measure an American Marvel Killraven strip and called it Apeslayer . The martians were replaced by apes and some characters changed names, like Carmilla Frost, who became Sandra Simian. The story ran for just eight issues, issues #23-30. Apeslayer is technically the first ever Marvel UK-originated character.
