Plot Summary of The Phantom of the Opera (1988)

(the musical is mentioned in solicitation copy for this issue).<br/>First Story:The Phantom of the Opera.<br/>Soprano Christine Daae is stalked, then abducted by a grotesquely disfigured man who lives under the Paris Opera House. Her other admirer Raoul, with the help of a mysterious man known only as the Persian, eventually rescues her.<br/>Second Story:The Thing in the Black.<br/>A woman seeks to be the queen of society in her town, and to dispose of her younger rival she spreads the rumor that the younger woman is a vampire. But rumors and accusations can work both ways.
